Native trees provide food and shelter for birds and other animals. They are
adapted to the Australian environment, so require less water and fertiliser
than non-native plants. Native flowers, grasses, shrubs and trees are more
likely to attract native wildlife such as birds, butterflies and other insects.
You may even be providing an essential home for a threatened species!
