Joining Wildlife Tourism Australia

 
 

Full Membership is open to individuals or organisations involved in wildlife tourism in a professional capacity, including:

Tourism operators who incorporate wildlife in their operations, or who are interested in doing so.

Members of the tourism industry with an interest in wildlife tourism.

Commonwealth, State, and Local Government staff who deal with wildlife tourism, particularly those in tourism and environmental/land management agencies.

Academics and students conducting research on wildlife tourism.

Members of Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) with an interest in wildlife tourism.

 

Associate Membership is open to all members of the public with an interest in wildlife tourism, and is expected to entail the same benefits as full membership except for advertising and voting rights.

The opportunity to communicate and network with others involved in wildlife tourism around Australia.

Being part of a recognised voice for the wildlife tourism sector, consulted by governments and other key bodies.

The opportunity to participate in initiatives to promote the sustainable development of wildlife tourism.

Presence at trade shows and other displays on behalf of members, where possible.

Free downloadable material to support wildlife tourism businesses and conservation (normally retailing at over $150).

Discounted registration fees at all WTA events, including conferences and workshops.

The opportunity to participate in the development of policies and written submissions affecting wildlife tourism and wider nature tourism industry.

Receive the WTA Newsletter via email every 6 weeks highlighting activities, events, news and useful findings on wildlife tourism.

A vote at the AGM and the opportunity to nominate for election to the Executive Committee of the Association.

WHY JOIN YET ANOTHER ORGANISATION?

 

  • WTA is the major national body focusing on wildlife tourism, and was formed as a ‘bottom up’ initiative from motivated operators and other key industry stakeholders
