Location: Australia, but coordinated from Environmental Futures, Griffith University, Brisbane, Qld
Categories: WIldlife ecology and behaviour and other basic research
Major questions
- Which wildlife species (including birds) visit bird baths, especially in drought and how often?
- Are the baths defended by aggressive species?
- Are they a potential source of disease spread?
Species and habitats
- Any wildlife visiting bird baths
- Backyards
Tourism connection: mostly very little, but tourists can contribute to the database
Contact: Assoc-Profesaor Darryl Jones, Environmental Futures, Griffith University
Tourist and other volunteer involvement
- mostly for residents who maintain bird baths at hoe, but others can observe and report. Inform Darryl if you would like to contribute some observations
