Australia’s Wildlife offers a range of information on wildlife-watching & photography tours throughout Australia, as well as providing an online information resource for the travelling wildlife- watcher or photographer, including regional tourism operators, accommodation providers, not-for- profit organisations, wildlife information and personal accounts of the team’s own travel experiences throughout Australia.
Peter Rowland (principal) is a Whitley Award-winning wildlife author and photographer with over 25 years in biodiversity research and assessment experience throughout Australia. Peter has published extensively on the birds and other animals of Australia and New Guinea, and his most recent books include the Naturalist’s Guides to Australia’s reptiles, mammals, frogs and its dangerous creatures, and a birding travel guide, which helps any birding enthusiast to find Australia’s Birding Megaspots. Aniket Sardana is a naturalist and award-winning wildlife photographer, with over 10 years’ experience in tailoring global nature-based tours for wildlife enthusiasts. Over the last 15 years Aniket has travelled extensively, mostly in the tropics and the South Atlantic islands, researching and photographing a wide range of flora, fauna and natural landscapes. In 2014, during Aniket’s first trip to Australia, he and Peter decided to start up Australia’s Wildlife. You can read more about Aniket and Peter’s travels together on the website.
Chris Farrell is most at home flying over the coasts and oceans of Australia at between 1,000 and 2,000 feet, taking his unique aerial pictures. Chris’s collection of aerial whale photography is among the largest in Australia, and his images have been instrumental in identifying and documenting new individual whales to research. Chris joined the team in 2015, and has worked with Peter on the guide books to reptiles and mammals of Australia, scheduled for release in late 2017, and the Australia’s Birding Megaspots, due out in mid-2018.
